音楽にかける青春 バイオリン奏者 ルドミラ・パヴロヴァー Ludmila Pavlová 人は演奏している音楽とともに生きていかなくてはならないことを知りました
音楽の街、プラハ。この秋、プラハでの音楽の勉強を一段落して、ウィーンに旅立とうとする若いバイオリニストがいます。ルドミラ・パヴロヴァーさん、21歳。現在、プラハ芸術アカデミー音楽学部の生徒です。昨年の夏、著名なバイオリニスト、ヴァーツラフ・フデチェク氏の夏期講習で一番優秀なバイオリニストの学生に選ばれた彼女は演奏旅行にも同行して経験を積むことができました。ソロイストとして、これから大きな未来があるルドミラ・パヴロヴァーさんに音楽修行についてお聞きしました。
From Praha, young violｉnist Ludmila Pavlovａ is going to visit Viennａ to study music this autumn. She is 21 years old.She is now at the Prague Academy of Music Arts (HAMU). Last summer Ludmila won the best violinist prize at the summer academy held by the well known violｉnist，Vaclav Hudecek．Then she could travel and play with him. Ludmila has a bright future ,so I interviewed her about music lesson she experienced in her life.
Q Please tell me about the town where you live.
A I love Prague - that is the main thing about the city where I was born. You can find here the Old Town where the medieval times can be utterly touched. The whole Czech Republic, well-known as “The heart of Europe”, is a very poetic country and Prague is the centre of it. Every time when my tram to school is passing by the river Vltava, I must look through the window and adore this magnificent view. Most of the people will probably say that what they love the most about Prague are the sights such as the Prague Castle or Charles Bridge, but for me it is our garden and the small streets that I accidentally discover in the dark summer night.
Q あなたの住んでいる街について教えてください。
A 私はプラハを愛しています。私が生まれた街について言えるとすればそれが一番大切なことです。この古い街では中世の名残も感じられることでしょう。チェコは「欧州の中心」と知られていますが、とても詩に満ちた都市です。プラハ音楽院に通学するとき、毎日ヴルタヴァ川の脇を通ります。窓からの景色は目を見張るばかりです。多くの人にとってプラハのどこがいいかといえばおそらくプラハの城やカレル橋などでしょうが、私の場合は夏の暗い夜に偶然発見する公園や小さな通りです。
Q When did you begin to play violin and why?
A I started to play the violin when I was 4 years old. It was an accident really because while my mother went to enrol me in the flute class, she let me stay at the violin class and my to-be first violin teacher came to me, looked at my hands, found my mother and told her “Flute? Oh no, she will play the violin”. And my mum just said “Okay”.
Q バイオリンを始めたのはいつですか？またなぜだったんです？
A 私はバイオリンを4歳で始めました。それは偶然がもたらしたものです。母がフルートのクラスに私を登録しようとしたとき、私をバイオリンの教室で待たせていたんです。するとバイオリンの先生が現れて私の手を見て、私の母を見つけてこう言ったのです。「フルートですって？いえいえ、この子はバイオリンを弾くべきです」それで母も「わかりました」と言ったんです。
Q How did you develop your music? Who taught you ?
A At the Gymnasium of Jan Neruda I was taught by prof. Dagmar Zarubova, my professor at the Prague conservatory was Pavel Kudelasek and nowadays I am at the Prague Academy of Music Arts (HAMU) in the classes of prof. Pavel Sporcl and Prof. Ivan Straus. Beginning this October, I am going on Erasmus Student exchange programme in Wien and I will be attending the classes of Prof. Jan Pospichal.
Q どのように音楽を発展させてこられましたか？ 先生は誰でしたか？
A ヤン・ネルダ・ギムナジウムではDagmar Zarubova先生に、プラハ音楽院ではパヴェル・クデラーセック先生に師事しました。プラハ芸術アカデミー音楽学部(HAMU)にいる今はパヴェル・シュポルツル教授とイヴァン・ストラウス教授に師事しています。10月になると、エラスムス交換留学プロジェクトでウィーンに留学します。ウィーンではヤン・ポスピヒャル教授について学びます。
I have been at many summer courses such as the Baroque summer course at Valtice, Summer courses at Litomysl and Sobeslav and last year I won the Academy of Vaclav Hudecek at Luhacovice, which was a great honour for me - I played on tour with maestro V. Hudecek.
私は夏期講習にもよく参加してきました。ヴァルチツェのバロック音楽の夏期講習やリトミシュルやソビェスラフでの夏期講習。また去年は ルハチョヴィツェでヴァーツラフ・フデチェク教授による夏期講習を参加しました。そこで私が一番よい演奏をした生徒に選ばれたのですが、大変な名誉です。そのおかげでヴァーツラフ・フデチェク先生の演奏ツアーに同行させていただくことができました。
I love chamber music and because of that I played in a quartet, sextet, piano trio and nowadays I have a duo with the great pianist Stanislav Gallin and a trio “Gracie” with Anna Paulova (clarinette) and Johana Hanikova (piano).
私は室内楽が好きです。四重奏、六重奏やピアノとの三重奏を演奏してきました。また最近ではピアニストのスタニスラフ・ガーリンとの二重奏を行っています。さらにクラリネットのアンナ・パウロヴァー、ピアニストのヨハナ・ハニコヴァーとの三重奏も行っています。
Q Please talk more about Mr. V. Hudecek
A Maestro Hudecek is really nice person. With his amazing wife Eva Hudeckova they are helping young violinists to improve themselves. Every year they are organizing the summer Academy at Luhacovice where Mr. Hudecek teaches.
In this Academy he gives every year to the best violinist of the Academy the new violin and he plays with this violinist on the tour.
This tour with him was a great experience for me. I enjoyed it but also had a responsibility to play as good as I could, so I hope I improved myself.
Q ヴァーツラフ・フデチェクさんはどんな方ですか？
A フデチェク先生は本当によい方です。エバという名前の奥さんがいて、二人は若いバイオリン奏者を励まし、上達するように後押ししてきたのです。毎年、ルハチョヴィツェで夏期講習を開いて、フデチェクさん自ら教えているのです。この夏期講習で一番優れたバイオリンの演奏家にバイオリンをプレゼントしてツアーに連れて行って共演するのですよ。
私にとってもフデチェク先生との演奏旅行は素晴らしい経験になりました。私はその機会を楽しみましたが、一方でできる限りよい演奏をする責任を感じました。ですから、私の演奏が進化していてほしいですね。
Q What did you learn ?
A During my music carrier I mainly found out that you have to live with the music you are playing, you must love it and try to discover the best option how to make your audience feel the same way and experience it with you. My teachers taught me many great opinions and skills but the best of them is the fact that they made me think about the pieces that I am playing - what was the composer thinking with this composition, in which situation was when he wrote it, what was the older and what are the present-day interpretations? Before I study the concerto, I have to borrow a text and full score from the library and find out which instrument in orchestra is playing with the solo violin part. But the truth is that one learns the most from the real concerts on the stage, because that is the very place from which you can say anything to the people that are listening.
Q どのようなことを学びましたか？
A 私のこれまでの音楽人生において、人は演奏している音楽とともに生きていかなくてはならないことを知りました。その音楽を愛し、楽譜から最良の解釈を引き出して、聴衆にも同じように感じてもらうようにしなくてはなりません。先生たちは私にいろいろな意見やテクニックを教えてくれましたが、最も大切なことは作曲家が作曲している時に何を考えたのか、当時はどんな状況だったのか。それらを演奏する私に考えるように仕向けてくれたことでした。また、昔の解釈と現代における解釈の違いなども考えさせてくれました。
バイオリン協奏曲を演奏する前に図書館から完全な楽譜を借りて、オーケストラの中でどの楽器がバイオリン独創の時にともに演奏されているのかを調べます。でも、本当に学べるのは実際に舞台に立ったときです。というのも、ここで始めて演奏家は聴衆に何かを語りかけることができるのですから。
Q What do you think about violin as an instrument ?
A It is an unbelievably pretty instrumental that can show different emotions. When I am playing, I am also expressing my opinions and I am opening myself to the audience. I love the sound of the dark string G, but also the laughing string E that I associate with the lark.
Q バイオリンという楽器はどんな楽器ですか？
A バイオリンは非常に美しい楽器です。様々な感情を描ける楽器です。バイオリンを弾くときは私の思いを吐露していて、聴衆に自分の心を開いているのです。暗いGの弦（G線）の音色も好きですが、笑いの弦であるEの弦（E線）の音色も好きです。Eの弦は雲雀を連想させます。
Q Recently you keep on collaborating with pianist Stanislav Gallin from Russia.
A He is the most musical pianist I have ever played with and he also feels music the same way as I do. We are playing together for two and a half year. Every time we are playing together and working on some composition, we are discussing about many musical aspects and possibilities how to play it, but mostly we are just playing with heart and it works.
Q ロシアからチェコに来たピアノ伴奏のスタニスラフ・ガーリンさんと最近は共演していますね。
A 彼は私が出会った中で一番素晴らしいピアニストです。私と音楽の解釈が同じであるように感じています。もう2年半、一緒に演奏してきました。毎回、演奏する時に曲について話し合い、曲の可能性をともに考えますが、たいてい心のおもむくままに演奏していて、それでうまくいくのです。
Q Which music pieces do you like ?
A I have a few pieces that for me are the absolute top of the art of composition as they also speak about life itself: J. S. Bach - Ciaccone, C. Franck -Sonate for violin and piano A major, D. Shostakovic - Concerto for violin and orchestra A minor.
But in general I love so many pieces that even if I will write many pages with their names I would not be done. And I am glad that every day I find something new worth hearing, discovering and playing.
Q どんな曲がお好きですか？
A バッハのシャコンヌ、セザール・フランクのバイオリンとピアノのためのソナタ、ショスタコービッチのバイオリン協奏曲です。これらは最も私が好きなもので、人生そのものです。でも、本当のことを言うと、私にはとてもたくさんの愛する曲があります。たとえそれらを書き出したとしても書き尽くせないでしょう。その上、幸せにも毎日、私は新たな素晴らしい曲に出会い、様々なことを発見し、演奏を試みています。
Q By the way, Czech is famous for its beer as well as music. Do you like beer in your country?
A I think that the Czech beer is the best one. Beside the big and famous breweries we have also smaller that are also very interesting. My favourites are the Czech IPA beers, because it varies every time you are drinking it. The truth is that the Czech classical Pilsner Urquell will please everyone.
Q ところでチェコはビールでも知られています。あなたはチェコのビールが好きですか？
A チェコのビールは世界一だと思います。大きなメーカー以外にも、小さなメーカーで面白いのがあるんですよ。私の好きなのはCzech IPA beers（チェコ製のインディア・ペールエール）です。というのも毎回違った味わいが楽しめるからなんです。またクラシックなピルスナーは誰にでも親しまれる銘柄です。
Q Talk about the dog you have, please. I heard you love animals, too.
A Yes, I love them. I have a cat called Orlanka and dog - sheltie, who´s name is Early. He is 8 years old and he is laughing all the time. I also used to have a budgerigar called Pepicek.
Q 犬を飼っているそうですね。動物がお好きですか？
A ええ、動物が好きです。オーランカという名前の猫と、アーリーという名前のシェルティ犬を飼っています。アーリーは8歳で、いつも笑っているんですよ。また、ペピーチェックという名前のセキセイインコも飼っています。
Q Please tell me about your concert in the near future.
A My first concert this season will be on the 5th of September 2015 in Germany at the Wolfsburg castle, then for example on the 12th and 28th of November 2015 and on the 19th of May 2016 I will play solo concerts with orchestra.
Q 今後はどのような演奏のご予定ですか？
A 9月5日にドイツのウォルフスブルク城で演奏会があります。また、たとえば11月12日と28日、さらに来年の５月19日にはオーケストラと共演してソロ演奏を予定しています。
