グリホサートのグリシン置換仮説は誤りとロンドン大学の研究グループ
ロンドン大学などの研究グループは８月８日、グリホサートが体内で、ポリペプチド鎖のグリシンの代わりになり、タンパク質のミスフォールディングと毒性を引き起こすというグリホサートのグリシン置換仮説は誤りであるとする研究結果を発表した。(有機農業ニュースクリップ)
グリホサートのグリシン置換仮説は、糖尿病や肥満、喘息、甲状腺機能低下症、アルツハイマー病慢性腎臓病などを含むヒトの多くの病気につながると言われていたという。
研究グループは、100mg/Lのグリホサート溶液中で、活発なヒトの乳がん細胞を６日間培養し、置換が起こるか確認したが確認できなかったとしている。したがって、この仮説は誤っている、との結論を出したとしている。
